Postman Park voted as one of top 50 hidden spots in our Cities

New survey by American Express in partnership with bloggers in five cities reveals the top 50 hidden gems in our cities. The aim of the survey was to reconnect people with their home cities and discover new places of inspiration.

Creativeworks London are greatly pleased to learn that Postman Park has made the top 50 in this new survey. Most visitors accidentally come across Postman Park which holds the dedicated memorial The Watts Memorial to Heroic Self Sacrifice featuring fifty‐four ceramic tablets, each of which documents an individual who lost their own life while heroically attempting to save another.

Prossimo Ventures and University of Roehampton were awarded a Creativeworks London Creative Voucher during round 1. The aim of their project was to employ Augmented Reality and Image Recognition technology, delivered via mobile platforms, to bring to life the fascinating history of the memorial monument and, in particular, illuminate the everyday lives and heroic deaths of those commemorated.

The Everyday Heroes mobile app is now available and can be downloaded by clicking here.
